Disney & Stars

Keira has this night light that projects stars & the moon onto the ceiling.  It's really quite comforting and serene.

Last night, as her & I lay on our backs looking at the sight, I pointed up and jokingly said that I saw Pluto.  She said, "I see the moon!" We giggled a little and decided Daddy should join us.  So we went and found him and brought him back to the bed to lay with us.

After a second Keira says, "I see Goofy!"  I started laughing so hard it took me a second to explain to Nathan... earlier when I said I saw Pluto, Keira must have thought I was talking about Mickey Mouse's puppy friend.  So precious!

Girl can't help it if she has Disney on the brain, because we were just there!!

We went the first weekend of April with our cousins, Mia & Aaron!  We spent 3 days at Disneyland and made a stop at Huntington Beach on the way home.  It was an adventure in so many ways.  There was very little down time & there's hardly a bathroom at Disneyland we didn't visit because, well no one ever had to go potty at the same time.

The two little ones, Keira & Aaron, really enjoyed the Tea Cups {Aaron' called it the Coffee ride, too cute!}, Finding Nemo's Submarine & Francis' Lady Bug Boogie.  Spinning in circles while spinning in circles just isn't my thing {I turn green} so Mia took the kids on those a few times each.  I did do the submarine once, and did okay, but passed on the second round.  Mia was a super-trooper on that one.

Travis got to enjoy some of the "bigger" rides for the first time this round.  He did The Tower of Terror, Indiana Jones, Thunder Mountain Railroad & loved them all.  He also talked me into going on Mickey's Fun Wheel, in a moving gondola!  We lived, so it was fun.

Tyler utilized the Single Rider option to ride the Grizzly River Run, over and over.  Somehow, what started out as a solo endeavor turned into him meeting a girl and the two of them managing to get placed on the same raft for multiple rides down the river.  {Time to rub some ugly on his face, huh?}

Huntington Beach was fabulous.  The weather was warm, but not enough to make the sand hot... just perfect.  The water was really cold, but Tyler jumped right in and jumped waves like he was born in a coastal city.  Travis got dunked by a wave and ended up soaked as well, but his favorite part was picking up seashells.  Keira & Aaron loved the sand toys.  Mia & I enjoyed fantasising that we could spend the day laying lazily on the beach soaking up all the goodness.

Then it was time to come home.
